I'm now one of the IN crowd

Dear Nicobloc:
I have been a smoker since I was fifteen years old. I have tried to quit using the "cold turkey" method on many occasions but with no success.

During the holiday season, while in the pharmacy, I was looking at the many products claiming to aid you toward a smoke free life, when I saw Nicobloc. Having never heard of it, I picked up the box and began reading. The idea of continuing to smoke while quitting really appealed to me, so I bought it.

Within the first two weeks, I went from about pack and a half a day, down to just a little more than half a pack. I loved the fact that I could quit at my own pace. The success of course didn't end there. I continued on with the program for the next few weeks. I quit right before New Years. That saved me from making some New Year's resolution I wouldn't keep.

It has been six and a half weeks and I am still smoke-free. I have not wanted to smoke even though I am constantly around other smokers. I am trying to get them to try your wonderful product. Thank you for helping me become one of the "IN" crowd Nicobloc.

I love your product so much I'd like to help you promote it

I recently managed to stop smoking after 25 years with the aid of your product. I bought three bottles to cover 6 weeks since I averaged 20 cigarettes a day. I stopped however after using 2 bottles and haven't had the slightest desire to smoke another cigarette since.

It's now been 7 weeks since I stopped and I feel wonderful. I have stopped smoking before but always felt uncertain and always had that nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I would probably smoke again given certain situations. NOT THIS TIME my stopping with Nicobloc is absolutely final.

I am an Australian citizen but currently residing in Bali, Indonesia where I run my own very successful business. I love your product and would dearly love to become involved in promoting it here in Indonesia.

Regards for now

From breathless smoker to marathon runner

It has been four years since Lita Huckle had a cigarette, yet she started smoking when she was 16 and had been on 20-a-day since then. Quitting for her meant more than giving up a favourite habit: "I've always had a weight problem and was scared to stop in case I put more on." The temptation to smoke when out with friends and having drinks was also great. "I once managed to quit for three months using patches. Then I thought I'd be able to smoke socially, but I'd look for any excuse to go to the pub just so I could have a fag. My husband wouldn't kiss me if he knew I'd been smoking."

Lita used NicoBloc to help her stop smoking. "I loved the fact that I didn't have to quit straight away. It gave me a chance to get used to not smoking so much over a period of time before making the final break."

"I could smoke as long as I put the drops of NicoBloc into the filter. It was one drop in the first week, two in the second and three in the third, by which time I could feel I was absorbing much less nicotine and tar. After a while, I wasn't enjoying smoking as much as usual."

"I'd have one less in the morning, then one less in the evening and then smoked half a cigarette at a time." Whilst continuing to smoke, Lita progressively reduced her nicotine and tar intake, and changed her 'habitual' behaviour which made the final break possible: "You need some discipline at the end to take that final step. I no longer get the urge to smoke, even in the pub or with a cup of coffee. I have changed my whole lifestyle - before I couldn't run at the gym without coughing and getting out of breath. Now I can run an average of 25 miles a week, and in this last year have run an amazing number of half marathons and runs. Not only has it changed my life, but it has also changed my husband's, who is a non-smoker. He certainly isn't stingy with his kisses any more!"

Lita achieved her post-smoking ambition of running in the 2003 London Marathon raising money for the British Lung Foundation.

Life Begins at 65

They say that life begins at 40, but for John Osborne, living took on a whole new meaning on his 65th birthday when he signed up for the NicoBloc 'Stop Smoking' Pogramme and quit smoking for good.

In 1945 when John began smoking aged 14, few people knew the dangers of cigarettes. Smoking was considered then as an escape from life, a means to ease one's burdens, and a socially acceptable pastime. It was something everyone seemed to do.

"In 1953 I joined the RAF and went to the Middle East and we all smoked because it was the only luxury we had. Throughout my twenties, a 'smoko' at work every couple of hours was the norm. I was smoking 35-a-day and as I got older I felt breathless, out of condition, and generally unhealthy. " said John.

"My frequent attempts to stop smoking were unsuccessful. I'd used everything from filters, nicotine gum and even going cold turkey with willpower. You name it, I've tried it," he added.

Some years later in 1999, John responded to an advert in his local paper for a six-week smoking cessation programme that used a product called 'NicoBloc' to help smokers gradually reduce their nicotine intake, thus eventually helping to make the final break from smoking easier.

"The chap who ran the programme owned a fitness club in Yeovil and even though I was sceptical about trying yet another 'gimmick', he motivated me to get started," said John.

"I applied drops of NicoBloc to the filter of my cigarettes to block almost all the tar and nicotine from entering my body. The idea was to gradually ease myself off cigarettes, but the best thing about it was that I could keep smoking, and there was no change to the taste! Also, it became a bit more of a 'chore' to get through 35-a-day! The action of applying NicoBloc to each cigarette before I smoked helped break the pack-to-mouth routine and I cut down on the number of cigarettes I was smoking each week until I was down to one or two a day," said John.

"After six weeks on the programme I quit smoking and I haven't had a cigarette since, nor have I had the urge to smoke, even when I'm at the pub for my weekly game of darts with the lads. Getting rid of cigarettes certainly changed my lifestyle. I altered my eating habits and now consume a healthier diet. I joined the gym in Yeovil and started exercising regularly and soon noticed the tightness in my chest had eased and I could breathe more easily. I felt really good within myself and I used the money I saved to buy CDs and books and presents for the grand kids.

"and I still head to the pub for a drink without feeling the desire to smoke - and I can throw the darts a lot further these days too!"

Ideal Home Show worked for me

I'm 19 and I have been smoking since I was 14. My friends told me to try it one day so I did and it led me to get up to 20 a day and then I couldn't stop. I have tried many times to quit but I have never succeeded. I didn't quite have enough will power to give up without help.

Last April I visited the Ideal home show in London and came across the Nicobloc stand. I thought that it would just be one of those waste of time stands that make your cigarette taste horrible. I tried a sample of the pink stuff and found that it didn't alter the taste of the cigarette at all. I purchased some because I really wanted to stop smoking once and for all as it was making me feel ill but I couldn't stop.

I started to use it straight away and within the first week I cut down from 15 to 10 per day. The following 2 weeks I managed to reduce my daily cigarette intake to approx 4 per day. Last week I had been smoking only half a cigarette a day.

I have not smoked a cigarette for the past 4 days now and I feel great. I no longer have the urge or desire to smoke any more and this is all thanks to Nicobloc. I strongly recommend this to anyone that wants to stop smoking, even if they think that they can't.

Thank you once again Nicobloc I feel so much cleaner and healthier already.

I had never tried to give up before

I smoked about 10 a day (double that if I was out for a few pints) and started when I was 16/17 (I'm 26 now).

I had never tried to give up before but we bought a house and I was determined not to "smoke" in the new house.

Back in September I got NicoBloc and within 6 weeks I was down to 3/4 a day. I stayed like that for a few weeks, still using the NicoBloc, and on New Years day I stopped altogether.

There was no way I could have done that if I hadn't used NicoBloc to cut down. It definitely helped prepare me for the big day.

When I first heard my friend telling me about NicoBloc I found it very interesting - the fact that you can still smoke as you're quitting is key.

I think by the time I stopped altogether the physical need for cigarettes was at a minimum, so I found it quite easy in the end. The first few days was a bit dodgy but after that it was ok.

Cheers
